Self Portrait
For this project we learned about Frida Kahlo, and how she used symbols in her self portaits to express things about her life. Our class created our own self portraits and we were to use symbols that represents things from our lives. The puppy paw represents my love for dogs, specifically my dog, Bentley. My shirt represents my favorite store. The colors in the background represent my two favorite colors and also the colors from my childhood bedroom. The bags under my eyes represent my lack of sleep.
Alebrijes
I had to make a new alebrijebecause I had taken mine home and it broke. The last three pictures are my new alebrije and the progess I have made this week. We made these projects a while back and this week we are painting them. I chose yellow, teal, and purple for the colors because I feel as if they work well together
